Bill McNulty, a senior at St. Patrick High School in Chicago, is one of at least six Oak Park students who scored a perfect 36 on the ACT exam. The other five attend Oak Park and River Forest High School. We would list their names, but OPRF officials said that it’s school policy not to release that information, unless specific permission is granted from each student. Not all students wanted to be identified, so none of the names have been published.

The five perfect ACT scores is about in line with the six-year average at OPRF, which had a high of eight perfect scores in 2011 and a low of one perfect score in 2014. A school of OPRF’s size, officials noted, typically only has about one or two perfect ACT scores a year.

Too bad we can’t tell you who they are.
