A great piece to reissue before Easter, Ken [Resurrecting the Easter metaphor, Ken Trainor, Viewpoints, March 23].

I would maybe amend the notion of the ego dying, and say, which I think Jung also intended, that the center of gravity in the self must shift from ego to soul, and rather than “dying,” the ego then lives in service to it.

Or perhaps ego does die to its old role, freeing the soul to lead, resurrecting the man or woman through this re-centering.
