James E. McDonald, M.D., 93, died on Jan. 31, 2016. Born on Nov. 9, 1922, he was the husband of the late Evelyn K., M.D.; the father of Mary Jo Hart, Virginia (William Hafeman) McDonald, M.D., and Michelle Kitt; grandfather of Adrienne Siegfried, Christopher Hart, Andy Hart, Nick Hafeman, and J.D. Kitt; great-grandfather of six; brother of the late Clement J. (the late Margaret and the late Alice), Helen M. (the late Robert F.) Kamm, Leo J. (Mildred B.), Ralph V. (the late Virginia), Florence (Clement M.D.) Cunningham; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Friends and family will meet at St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy Church on Saturday, Feb. 6, for Mass at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
