Carnival Grocery, 824 S. Oak Park Ave., and Lirong Medical Foundation are partnering to help defray the medical costs of Oak Parker Nathan Kucera, 27, who has been stricken with an aggressive form of multiple sclerosis.
The Shop for Charity Program allows patrons to contribute 10 percent of their grocery bill to Lirong to help pay Nathan’s hospital bills through Jan. 31, but customers must say the phrase, “No MS-ing around 2016.”
Carnival also is offering a matching donation of up to $2,000 if customers are successful in raising $2,000 through the fundraiser. See page 23 for more on Nathan’s story.
