A US Bank branch was robbed Monday afternoon at 6020 Roosevelt Road in what the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation describes as a “non-takeover event.”
That generally means the robber did not hold hostages during the robbery, which occurred at 12:42 p.m. on Nov. 2.
The robber, a 30- to 40-year-old black male roughly 5-feet-8 to 6-feet tall with brown eyes and a medium build, wore a blue hat, fake beard and dark clothing.
Information is not yet available on whether the robber used a weapon.
FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said in a telephone interview that no weapon was used in the robbery and no injuries were reported. Anyone with information about the robbery can contact the FBI at 312-421-6700.
