And if you’re looking for a powerful exploration of race as it plays out in the American dream of home owning, check out Open Door Repertory’s current production of Clybourne Park, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Bruce Norris. Set on the North Side of Chicago in two scenes separated by a 50-year span, it captures how difficult it still is for people to face the truth, especially when the issues are complicated by race.

Very timely, very well done, and you still have two weekends left to see it.

Open Door is located at 902 S. Ridgeland. Call 708-342-0810 for tickets or more information. Or visit www.opendoorrep.org.
