Wednesday Journal celebrated 35 years of providing reliable news for the community with fun activities for kids like trying out real typewriters courtesy of Pieritz Brothers, and complimentary giveaways at their booth. Plus, discounted print subscriptions to the newspaper were available.
The 3rd Annual Fall Fest was held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 11am to 2pm at Rehm Park and the Oak Park Conservatory. There were horse-drawn hayrides, inflatable entertainment, many crafts and activities and delicious food from local vendors. At Rehm Park, the push-car trains were open. The Conservatory gave each family the chance to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Afterward, kids could decorate their very own masks or explore the Conservatory’s new Elsie Jacobsen Discovery Garden.
