No, not a bunch of “wild and crazy guys” playing poker. We’re talking about the Cubs, hottest team in baseball, hoping to subdue one of their division rivals (most likely the Pirates) in a one-game playoff, winner to move on to the World Series (we hope, though not right away).

Anyway, the game will be played on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and FitzGerald’s, as is their wont, will be televising it on not one but two really big screens. Bill FitzGerald called to say that they have a second 14-foot-wide screen, which will be set up in the parking lot under the “wedding tent,” in addition to the one in the club.

The grill will be fired up and “If we can find them, we may even put up bleachers,” he said.

Should be fun.

Especially if they win.
