The popular Oak Park restaurant Tasty Dog — which is delinquent in its rent payments to the Village of Oak Park, which owns the property — could be shut down by Aug. 10, according to Village Attorney Paul Stephanides.
The owners of Tasty Dog, 701 Lake St., still owe the village upwards of $40,000 and were served an eviction notice from the village in May.
Stephanides said the eviction court hearing on Aug. 3 was continued to Aug. 10.
“If they don’t move out by the 10th, then the case will be set for trial,” Stephanides said.
The shop could stay open through the potential trial, but it is uncertain how long the case might take.
