Patrick F. Maloney, 69, who was raised in Oak Park and lived for many years in River Forest, died on June 27, 2015 at Rush Oak Park Hospital. Born on Sept. 27, 1945, he graduated from Ascension Parish School and Oak Park and River Forest High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and was a longtime member of St. Luke Church in River Forest.
Patrick Maloney is survived by his wife, Giene (nee Raptis); his son, Matthew; his daughter-in-law, Andrea Maloney; and his siblings, Thomas Maloney, Kathleen Birmingham, and William Maloney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Katherine Maloney, and his brother, Terence Maloney.
Visitation was held on July 1 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Forest Park before proceeding to St. Luke Catholic Church for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass. Cremation rites and burial will take place privately at Woodlawn Cemetery.
