Julia Fantetti, 84

Julia M. Fantetti (nee Foley), 84, longtime resident of River Forest, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 12, 2015. Born on August 2, 1930 on the West Side of Chicago to the late Maurice and Catherine Foley (Murphy), she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. Julie became a master seamstress and was the former owner of Forest View Laundromat of Forest Park. A dedicated and active member of the Mount Sinai Woman’s Auxiliary Board for over 25 years, she was an avid gardener and embraced her Irish heritage through her travels to Ireland. 

Jule Fantetti is survived by her children, Ronald (Melissa), Robert (Jean), Julie Lackage, Madonna (Ken) Slepicka, Denise, and Diane; her grandchildren, Christopher, Tara, Jonathon, Jason, Sean, Robert, Stefanie, Blake, Allison, Heather, Steven, Emilia “Lia,” Dylan and Kenneth “KJ”; her great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Olivia and Riley; her sisters, Helen (Patrick) Hurley and Catherine (Pat) Calcagno; and her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank P.; her son, Frank J.; and her sister, Jean (the late Tom) Klein. 

Visitation is on Wednesday, June 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St. in Oak Park. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
