Born on Oct. 29, 1965 in Oak Park, he was a member of the Oak Park and River Forest High School class of 1983. He graduated from Indiana State University and worked in the travel industry. In addition to his love of airplanes, his passions were music, the Cubs, and the Blackhawks. He could quote details on any of these subjects.

Because of the rarity of his cancer, he donated his body to science.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sandy Loevy; and his cousin, Bill Mavrelis.

The family will gather for a private celebration of Dave’s life Memorial Day weekend. Donations to the Avenues of Independence, 515 Busse Highway in Park Ridge 60068 are appreciated.
