Sports Trivia Night for local charities
The St. Giles Men’s Society is holding its 7th Annual Sports Trivia Night on Feb. 21 at the St. Giles grade school gym. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. start time for trivia. Started in 2009 by a small group of parishioners, the competition consists of teams of up to six players that vie to correctly answer the most sports-related trivia questions.
John Lipic, who brought Sports Trivia to Oak Park, describes the questions as “spanning all generations and the wide world of sports.” Sports Trivia has grown in popularity each year and Lipic promises that “this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!”
Proceeds from the event will be used to support local charities. This year, Sports Trivia 7 is partnering with HighSight and Parenthesis Family Center. Event information and registration details can be found online at www.stgilessportstrivia.com.
