Young singers will learn – and then perform – songs from around the world during the 6th Annual Pro Musica Choral Festival, Saturday, February 7, at the First United Church, 848 Lake Street, Oak Park, Ill. In addition to ensembles from the Pro Musica Youth Chorus, choirs from Percy Julian Middle School (Oak Park) and Grace Lutheran School (River Forest) are set to participate in the educational program.

Students will begin the day at 9 a.m. and then participate in workshops with Bill Chin, Artistic Director of PMYC, and Carling FitzSimmons, Associate Conductor of PMYC, throughout the morning and early afternoon. At 3 p.m., all of the choristers will show off what they learned during a free concert, which is open to the public. Individual students who want to participate in the festival can register in advance or at the door.

The cost for the all-day event is $7. To sign up or for more information on the festival, please contact 708-383-1971 or
