Unity Temple, the sacred space designed on Lake Street by Frank Lloyd Wright, has just received another key designation. This time it is the U.S. Department of the Interior nominating Unity Temple and nine other Wright structures for World Heritage designation.
This is a reminder to all of us of the wonder of this space in our midst. And also that the local people entrusted with the care of this building are currently in the midst of a major capital campaign — $25 million — to maintain it. The Unity Temple Restoration Foundation is halfway to this essential goal.
