Staff of the Sun-Times’ Pioneer Press suburban newspapers — purchased in October by Tribune Publishing Company — will be relocated to the Chicago Tribune Freedom Center, 777 W. Chicago Ave., according to Chicago Tribune media news columnist Robert Feder.

The 38 suburban newspapers, which include Oak Leaves, were purchased from Sun-Times’ parent company, Wrapports LLC, for $23.5 million, Feder reported. The suburban newspaper staff of about 20 moved last year from the Sun-Times offices to Tribune Tower, 435 N. Michigan Avenue.

Tribune Freedom Center is home to the newspaper’s printing presses.
