William F. “Bill” Haley, 67, of Wheaton, formerly of Oak Park, died on Dec. 5, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Born on Aug. 11, 1947 in Elmhurst, he grew up in Oak Park, attended Ascension School, graduated from St. Ignatius High School, earned a B.A. in history from Loyola University Chicago and a degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign. He worked as an attorney for many years and enjoyed tutoring and coaching youth baseball, football and softball. He was a resident of Wheaton for 25 years.

Bill Haley was the husband of Margaret; the father of Katie (Jeff) Philippe, Tom (Cathy Hwang), Claire, and Rose; the grandfather of Levon Philippe; son of the late Frank and Mary Haley; brother of Mary, Sr. Jeanne, John (Julia), Dan (Mary), and Jeanne Haley; and uncle and great-uncle to many.

Visitation was held on Dec. 8 at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Naperville. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Dec. 9 at St. Patrick’s Residence in Naperville. Inurnment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Patrick’s Residence, 1400 Brookdale Road, Naperville 60563 are appreciated.
