A man with a black mask partially covering his face robbed US Bank, 104 N. Oak Park Ave., around 3:15 p.m. Thursday. The man implied he had a weapon and fled with an unspecified amount of cash.
The robber was described by police dispatchers as a white male, heavy-set, around 30 years old, wearing a black sweatshirt with an orange flame design. He was also wearing gloves, a black hat and sunglasses. His face was covered with a black mask with red and green stitching on it.
An attempted robbery occurred at the same bank on Sept. 5. In that incident, police quickly nabbed Nicholas Connor, 23, of Chicago.
