Jerome F. Dunne, 80, a lifelong resident of Oak Park, died on Sept. 16, 2014. Born in Berwyn on Oct. 19, 1933 to Robert and Mary Dunne, he was a graduate of Ascension Elementary School, Fenwick High School and Loyola University, receiving a degree in Accounting and Business. A U.S. Army veteran, he was stationed in Alaska in the 1950s and worked for the Sanford Ink Company until his retirement in 1994. 

He was known as the world’s biggest White Sox fan. 

Jerome Dunne is survived by his brother, Richard “Dick,” and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Dolores, Robert (Jane) and Paul Dunne. 

Visitation was held Sept. 19 at Oak Park’s Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home and a funeral Mass was celebrated at Ascension Church on Sept. 20, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred
