Following the large turnout to a diversity forum earlier this month at the main library, the Oak ParkRegionalHousingCenter is holding its first monthly forum this evening at their headquarters at 1041 South Blvd.

HousingCenter Director Rob Breymaier says the first community conversation forum will give residents a chance to get to know one another and discuss what topics to address in future forums.

“We need to be talking about what we can do better and what more we can do, and make it clear to people how we’ve made the progress we have and how we’ve maintained that progress,” Breymaier said.

Future forums will focus on the general topics of race, community and equity, Breymaier said. Tonight’s forum is expected to run about an hour and a half.
