At a county jail in Jonesborough, Illinois, Oak Park police took into custody and charged Thursday the fourth suspect in the July 14 mid-day armed robbery in the 200 block of Clinton Ave.

Police took into custody Montreal L. Carr, 19, who also used aliases Venture Robinson and Kendel William. Carr, of the 1200 block of Fairfield Avenue in Chicago, was charged with armed robbery with a firearm. Demarko Johnson-Molette, 21, Devontay Chambers, 22 and Joshua Murphy, 21, all of Chicago were charged earlier.

During the robbery, one of the men held an Oak Park man at gunpoint in his backyard as the others used his ATM card at 7 Eleven and Tasty Dog in Oak Park. Police Chief Rick Tanksley called the crime “brazen.” Surveillance video helped identify the getaway vehicle, police said.
