Mina I. Riddle, 74, of Oak Park, died on June 26, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on Sept. 4, 1939 to Maurice and Sarah Gold, she was a graduate of Michigan State, served for a brief time in the U.S. Army, and was a social worker for the state of Illinois. 

She moved to Oak Park in 1978 and worked in the daycare field and became a foster mother. She also worked in the Oak Park school district with special needs children. 

Active in the League of Women Voters, she volunteered with the Oak Park-River Forest Historical Society and tutored English language students. 

Mina Riddle is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Diane (Chris) Balducci and Joe Riddle; and her grandchildren, Logan and Ryan. 

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 7 at Third Unitarian Church, 301 N. Mayfield in Chicago.
