In a tragic surge in the amount of violence in the city of Chicago, the following people were killed during the days between June 27 and July 9:  

Tony Ervin, 28; Ronnie Amos, 42; Michael Patton, 17; LaFayette Walton, 16; Dakari, Pargo, 19; Jimero Starling, 19,; Shambreyh Barfield, 22; Robert Cotton, 35; Corey Hudson, 34; Joel Bentley, 30; Deandre Brown, 23; Shaquille Ross, 18; Anthony Hobson, 25; William Allen 25; Shiquille Salter, 23; Donald Ray, 21; Kezon Lamb, 19; Joey Henderson, 24; Cassius While, 19; Jaynisha Scheffer, 19; Tonya Gunn, 44; Marcel Pearson, 17; Bruce Wright, 23; Jasmine Curry, 25

Please keep their families and others touched by violence in our prayers.

The following list is sent by the Interfaith Committee for Detained Immigrants:

Remember the 48 immigrant detainees at the McHenry County Jail who have asked for our prayers this week. They are from Angola, Belize, Benin, Brazil, China, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jordan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Sudan, and Syria. May the outcomes be positive for all of the detainees and their families.
