Oak Park, IL— Oak Park Township has partnered with Oak Park Public Library to share resources and information in two free programs at Dole Branch Library, 255 Augusta St., Oak Park. Through these programs, attendees will learn more about property taxes and the rich variety of services available to senior residents through the Township.
Wednesday, July 9 at 7 pm: Oak Park Township Assessor Ali ElSaffar leads “Oak Park Tax Talk.” This special conversation, open to everyone, will address the issue of rising taxes and how best to avoid financial liabilities, including an emphasis on affordable taxes after retirement. 
Wednesday, August 6 at 7 pm: A new library series for seniors kicks off with “What Can Oak Park Township Senior Services Do For You?” Presenter Celeste Duignan, Nutrition Program Manager at Oak Park Township, will share how the Township works to enhance the quality of life for seniors in the community by providing services that promote independence, self-esteem, and dignity. 
Oak Park Township focuses on human and social services, including relief to financially struggling community members; it funds and administers many programs for area seniors and youth; and provides funding to various mental health agencies through its Community Mental Health Board, all enhancing and improving the quality of life of Oak Park residents.
