Ruth-Esther Kuhn-Okol, 51, of Oak Park, died on March 11, 2014. She was the daughter of David and Ruth Kuhn and graduated from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in New York. Her patients and colleagues at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she worked for 15 years, remember her as a remarkably compassionate and skilled nurse. Ruth had an unwavering faith in her creator and now rests in His hands.
Ruth Okol is survived by her husband, John Okol; and her daughter, Rachel Okol. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 28, 2014 at Oak Park’s 19th Century Charitable Association, 178 Forest Ave.
