A somewhat cryptic message appeared on Noon Whistle Brewing Co.’s facebook fan page Sunday night suggesting that the new microbrewery will not be moving in to the proposed location at 18 Chicago Ave. in Oak Park.
Shortly after 10 p.m. a message appeared on the company’s facebook page stating: “Sorry Oak Park, 18 W was just not meant to be…” The company’s twitter feed, @noonwhistle, stated nothing about the announcement as of Sunday night.
Messages sent to the facebook fan page were not immediately returned. Plans to move into the location faced some opposition from existing tenants. The location is currently home to Derby Lite, a roller derby fitness club, and Legacy Sports Camp, an athletic training facility for kids.
