Donald E. Recht, 80, of Michigan City, Ind. and formerly of Berwyn, died on Dec. 1, 2013. Born on July 8, 1933, he was the member of an Oak Park handball group for over 38 years.
Don Recht is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Recht (nee Galanis); his children, Donald A. (Joyce) Recht, Paul S. Recht, Elizabeth (Leslie) Recht-Johnson and Suzanne R. (Tony) Soluri; his grandchildren, Rachael R. Recht, W. Max Recht, Sophia R. Soluri and Isabella V. Soluri; his sister, Joanne A. (John) Burns; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Dec. 4 at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. in Brookfield. Funeral services took place on Dec. 5, followed by private interment.
