Anne Theodora Luciw, 56, of Oak Park, died on Aug. 31, 2013 at Loyola University Medical Center of heart-related complications. Born on Nov. 23, 1956, she graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School and held many degrees, a University of Chicago B.A. in physics and a computer science degree from IIT, a Master in Science degree in accounting from Rosary College, now Dominican University. She was last employed by Delta Dental as an accountant. A member of MENSA and the CPA Society, she was an avid Chicago White Sox and Bear fan, enjoyed reading and travel, and studied Buddhism at the Dzogchen Osel Ling Retreat Center.
Anne Luciw is survived by her sisters, M. Jacqueline Kronsted and Linda L. Ibach; her cousins, William Petrow and Marilyn Dowd; and her dear friends, Norene Jamieson and Pat Herendee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and JoAnn Lucia.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Church, 5000 N. Cumberland Ave. in Chicago on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.
