I heartily support Wednesday Journal’s endorsement of Jackie Moore for the District 200 school board. I have known Jackie for several years and have found her to be an intelligent and thoughtful person with a deep compassion for children and their success. As a developmental psychologist, she has worked to develop programs for families of high-risk children. She believes in high expectations for all children and providing academic supports so that all children can succeed.
Jackie has four children who have either graduated or are entering the highs school. She has volunteered on the District 97 strategic planning process and the D200 PTO and faculty hiring committees. She has served on numerous area nonprofit boards. Jackie is a facilitator and collaborative team member who will work hard with her other board members to effect needed change at the high school. Vote for Jackie on April 9.
