The Huskies improved to 8-2 on the season with wins over Homewood-Flossmoor and Prospect last week. Katie Appell scored three goals and sophomore goalie Jordin Hale had 10 saves in the Huskies’ 4-2 victory against H-F.
“Jordin had an outstanding game and we held a good team to only two goals,” OPRF coach Elizabeth Perez said. “We needed some better passes and more communication offensively, but our defense won the game.”
The Huskies also beat Prospect 8-3. Appell had four goals and Samantha Robbins contributed three goals. Hale (seven saves) and Zoe Erickson (five saves) played well in goal.
