Lauren Smith, the assistant superintendent for human resources at Oak Park and River Forest High School, is on administrative leave and her return to the school is uncertain.
Smith was hired in 2010 from a consolidated school district in Algonquin with 20-plus years in the HR field. She’s been on administrative leave the last two weeks, Supt. Steven Isoye confirmed, but he wouldn’t say if it’s a paid leave and when, or if, she will return. Smith currently makes around $144,000 as HR director.
