As part of its financial planning, Oak Park’s three Tax Increment Financing districts play a big role in how the numbers shake out each fiscal year.
In order to keep the public and village staff informed, the Joint Review Board will be holding a meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the District 97 administration building, located at 970 Madison St.
The purpose of the meeting is to review fiscal year 2010 and ’11 reports as they relate to the activities of each of the three TIF districts: Downtown Oak Park, Madison and Garfield. Current activity of TIF funds, however, won’t be part of this meeting.
The public is encouraged to attend, but there won’t be time for public comment as that will be allocated to JRB members to ask questions of the administrator. Copies of the TIF reports are available on Oak Park’s website at: www.oak-park.us/finance/fianance.html.
In other financial news from the village, Oak Park is set to pass its 2013 budget at its next board meeting on Monday, Dec. 10. The full budget is available in the finance department section of the village’s website.
