We would like to thank the countless people who helped make the Oak Park middle schools’ Magnificent Mile Fun Run this past Sunday morning a huge success. Thank you to West Suburban Medical Center and Community Bank of Oak Park-River Forest for underwriting the event.
Thanks to our other sponsors: The Competitive Foot, Trader Joe’s, Bike Fix, It’s A Sign, Energy Tees, Body by G, Buzz Café, Quaker Oats and Whole Foods. We had an invaluable squadron of enthusiastic parent and community volunteers ensuring that the student runners were safe along the route and had fun.
We also want to thank the local businesses who came out and participated in our post-run Wellness Fair: West Suburban Medical Center, the Tennis and Fitness Centre, and B Fit. Lastly, the event wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful community-wide collaboration between the Brooks and Julian PTOs and parent communities, District 97 administration, Brooks and Julian principals and P.E. teachers, the Village of Oak Park and the Oak Park Police Department.
Sincere thanks to you all and the 175 Oak Park middle-schoolers who came out and ran.
