I recently complained about not feeling safe riding my bike around Oak Park because of the many potholes and poor condition of our streets. Well, I have to say “thanks” to the street department for the great paving jobs completed this summer on many of the streets I travel. Now I have one less thing to worry about!

And while I have your attention, I would like to offer the next three projects: South Boulevard east of Oak Park Avenue, the 500 block of Woodbine (both of these will stop my teeth from rattling), and 200-400 N. Marion Street (then I won’t have to close my windows to have a conversation in my living room).

With all the new paving, streets, including Harlem, have become so quiet, it’s amazing what a difference this can make in a person’s well being. Again, thank you for starting to repair and quiet our OP streets.
