The weather will be beautiful, so get out and celebrate.  It’s “Oaktoberfest” at Marion St. & North Blvd. in Oak Park on Friday, 9/14 from 4 – 10pm and on Saturday, 9/15 from Noon – 10pm.  There’ll be live music, food, fine wines, micro-brews, and even a children’s root beer garden.  Get details at www.visitoakpark.com for this Free Event.

Not to be outdone, it’s “Oktoberfest” in Berwyn’s historic Depot District at Windsor & Stanley Avenues.  You’ll find crafters, amusement rides, food, a beer garden, live performances, and more.  It starts, Friday, 9/14 from 8 – 11pm and on Saturday, 9/15 from Noon – 11pm.  Call 708-788-8100 for more.

A little bit different and definetly more adult, it’s the “Wine, Walk, & Shop” event all along Madison St. in Forest Park.  Your ticket gets you a glass, many samples, and appetizers.  Tickets at 708-366-2500.

After you do the wine walk, or even if you can’t make it, you may want to spend your Saturday night at the main Oak Park library for its “Speed Dating for 40+”.  It’s a Free Event but you are asked to register at www.oppl.org .
