The Park District of Oak Park’s You Throw Girl Sports Camp received a visit from two professional women’s soccer players this week.
Lori Chalupny and Ella Masar led soccer drills, answered questions and signed autographs at the camp held at Longfellow Park. Chalupny was a member of the 2008 Gold Medal winning team and also played for the 2007 U.S. Women’s World Cup team.
Both athletes currently play for the Chicago Red Stars, a member of the Women’s Premiere Soccer League.
