The deadline to participate in Oak Park’s annual Fourth of July parade is June 8.

Village of Oak Park is seeking participants, volunteers and sponsors for the annual Fourth of July parade. June 8 is the deadline to register to be in the parade, which attracted more than 40 organizations last year.

Local organizations and businesses are invited to bring a float, march, play music, carry balloons or banners, ride decorated bicycles, skate, drive vintage cars or just dress up to commemorate the nation’s birthday and to celebrate Oak Park’s rich diversity. More than 40 organizations participated last year. 

Registration and sponsorship forms are available at Village Hall, 123 Madison St., via email to community@oak-park.us and on the village’s website at oak-park.us/parade.

Parade participants will line up by Longfellow Center, 610 S. Ridgeland Ave. near Jackson Boulevard, at 9 a.m., Wed., July 4. The parade will step off promptly at 10 a.m. and march north on Ridgeland Avenue to Augusta Boulevard and disperse at Whitter School.
