Beye School’s playground will get a major upgrade this summer, but one special item on that lot will remain — to the joy and relief of kids and parents.

It was actually the students who insisted that their beloved Beye turtle not be tossed out along with the old play set and mulch service. The stone turtle is in the younger kids’ playground, which will also get an upgrade. It will be relocated during construction this summer and placed with the new equipment by the time school reopens in August.
