Local artists have been working on re-creating 20 vintage windows from RK Management buildings’ for a display at 229 Harrison during the What’s Blooming Festival.
The artists received minimal direction about how to approach the project — just to create a work of art using a vintage window recycled from an RK Management building. “Apply your creative and artistic vision to an individual window.”
The exhibit will take place during the What’s Blooming Festival at 229 Harrison Street on May 26, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The completed windows will then find their way into RK Management apartment building hallways, foyers, laundry rooms, etc… to enhance with art the living and working spaces of residents in our buildings. RK Management is heavily invested in the Oak Park art community and has funded artists and
studio space in the Harrison Street Arts District for 15 years. Third Friday Gallery is located at 43 Harrison Street.
