The Fenwick baseball team endured quite an up and down ride last week.
Jack Forde tossed a no-no to lead the Friars (17-12) to an 11-0 win over St. Ignatius. Along with the shutout and the no-hitter, Forde walked just two batters, while striking out two in five innings. The Friars scored 10 runs in the fifth, including three off a triple to left field by Paul O’Toole.
Earlier in the week, Fenwick took one on the chin against Bishop McNamara. The Friars lost 14-3 after committing a season-high six errors. Ryan Fitzgerald belted a homer for Fenwick, while Jim Sweeney went 3-for-3 with an RBI.
On Saturday, Fenwick fell to St. Ignatius 6-5 on Jack Crepau’s walk-off RBI single.
