I want to thank Whole Foods-River Forest for hosting a Community Support Day for the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust on Wednesday, April 18. On this day, they donated 5 percent of store sales to the Preservation Trust. As a lead sponsor for this year’s Wright Plus Housewalk, Whole Foods is playing a key role in supporting our mission to preserve the legacy of Wright, the Home & Studio, and our other sites.
But our deepest gratitude goes to the people of Oak Park, River Forest and surrounding communities. On this one day, you helped raise $4,215 for the Trust, which goes to our education programs for children, families, and over 3,000 students in Chicago and its suburbs. We couldn’t do it without support from the community — from the shoppers to all of our volunteers who helped make this day such a tremendous success.
Thanks again to Whole Foods-River Forest for welcoming us into their store. We hope to see everyone at the housewalk on Saturday, June 2 — and make sure to purchase your healthy, delicious Whole Foods lunchbox!
