The integrity, intelligence, and common sense of circuit court judges undergirds our economy and social fabric. How does a citizen cast an informed vote on all the judicial races at the end of the March 20 ballot? The bar associations are trying to make it easy for you. They rate the candidates with questionnaires and interviews of the lawyers they have tried cases against and the judges they appear before. Their results are published at

Only one judge in the local 11th Sub-circuit race for the Urso vacancy won the approval of every one of the bar associations, as well as the Chicago Tribune endorsement: Pam Meyerson. I know her to be a skilled lawyer of uncommon integrity, intelligence, and common sense, as well as a record of service to our community. She has my vote, and I hope yours as well.
