Judge Michael Clancy deserves your vote. He is a candidate for judge in the 11th Judicial Sub-circuit of Cook County. This includes Oak Park.
We’ve known Mike since he was a boy. He attended Hatch School and Oak Park and River Forest High School. Of the six candidates in this race, Judge Clancy is the only one who is a lifelong resident of Oak Park. His mom, “D” Clancy, and his dad, Bill Clancy, have been active in Democratic politics since the 1960s.
After graduating from law school, he returned to Oak Park. He and his wife, Terri, along with their four children, live in Oak Park. Mike has been active in our village. He has served as a youth baseball and basketball coach, a leader in his church and a volunteer for groups that help to rehab homes in disadvantaged neighborhoods and provide free handyman services to senior citizens.
The fact that the Illinois Supreme Court appointed him to the bench attests to his fine qualities as a judge: impartiality and a respectful temperament. Since his appointment, Judge Clancy has served with integrity and distinction. Twelve different bar associations gave Judge Clancy approving evaluations. All ranked him “Recommended,” “Qualified” or “Well Qualified.”
To serve as judge is a high civic responsibility. Judge Michael Clancy has proven that he can meet the challenge. We urge you to vote to elect him to a full term as a judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
