Fenwick High School graduate and River Forest native Tricia Liston recently helped her Duke women’s basketball team secure a 69-63 win over North Carolina and clinch the ACC crown outright.

Liston, a sophomore for the Blue Devils, scored 15 points to lead Duke to the victory.

The 6-foot-1 forward is averaging 11 points per game. She’s leading the team in three-pointers made with 44 through 28 games.

While at Fenwick, Liston won a state title her freshman season on varsity and guided the Friars to third place her senior year in 2010. She picked up several accolades along the way, including Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and ESPNChicago.com Girls Player of the Year. Liston closed out her high school career averaging 28 points and six rebounds per game.

As of March 1, the Blue Devils were 24-4 overall and heading into the ACC Tournament. They’ll begin the NCAA Tournament on March 17.
