OPRF finished third (250.5) at the Lyons Township Invitational on Saturday. The Huskies grabbed five first-place finishes. Kyle Patnode won both the 100 backstroke (54.38 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (52.02), while Nikita Bondarenko took first in the 500 free (4:43.92) and the 200 free (1:45.90). Ben Lewis won the diving event with a final score of 472.55.

The Huskies travel to Downers Grove North this weekend to compete in the West Suburban (Silver) Conference Meet, the last for retiring head coach Peter Quinn.

Quinn, who was honored in January for his 18 years as head coach of the program, was a 1983 graduate of OPRF. His senior year he swam to a state title in the 100 freestyle. He still holds the school record in the event.

Quinn has coached four teams to top 10 finishes at state, including the 1998 squad that won the title.
