The Friars fell 74-65 to Lake Zurich on Saturday despite 25 points from sophomore point guard Jade Owens. The loss put Fenwick’s record at 18-6 overall.
On Thursday, the Friars dismantled Maine West 71-55. Meredith Boardman led with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Owens finished with 16 points and five assists.
Fenwick will try to regain the East Suburban Catholic Conference crown when it takes on Marist on Feb. 8 and Marian Catholic on Feb. 9. After winning the ESCC for 17-straight seasons, Fenwick tied for second last year.
