Jean Anderson Weliver, 76, of Long Lake, died on Jan. 17, 2012. Born on Oct. 10, 1935, she was a graduate of DePauw University, sister of Wabash College, member of AOII, First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, Palette and Chisel, Long Lake Yacht Club, and the P.E.O.
An artist and perpetual student, she was a voracious reader, creative spirit, extraordinary cook and giving soul.
Jean Weliver is survived by her children, Jere Jr. (Marcy), Amy, Nancy (Ed), and Adam; her nine grandchildren; her brother, Richard; and many friends and kindred spirits. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jere.
A memorial is planned for Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, 535 Forest Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please share with the American Cancer Society, DePauw University, or Camp Maclean. Arrangements were handled by Ringa Funeral Home in Lake Villa.
