Marie A. McDonald, 89, died in her Oak Park home on Dec. 20, 2011. A 61-year resident of Oak Park, most recently of Holly Court, she worked for the Oak Park Bakery from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her children, Peter (Mary) McDonald, Noreen (John) Humphrey, Kathleen (Thomas) Frenzel, and Victor (Cecilia) McDonald; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Peter McDonald, who died in 1990.
Visitation was held on Dec. 22 at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home in Oak Park. An interment service took place, Dec. 23, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney. Memorials to the Metro High School Scholarship Fund, 1212 7th Street S.E., Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 are appreciated.
