I would like to thank the Barbara Ballinger Lecture Series for a stimulating evening with author and attorney Scott Turow. He was charming, interesting, informative and thought-provoking. He told us that at age 11, he dreamed of becoming a writer, a dream he acquired from his mother, after reading The Count of Monte Cristo.

With the success of Presumed Innocent, he had achieved his boyhood dream. He said it was through work and luck. But after hearing him, I would say that his love for writing and the law have also been keys to his success.

It was a wonderful evening at Unity Temple.
