An app for occupiers? It comes from Oak Park

Well, you knew sooner or later we’d turn up an Oak Park connection to the Occupy Wall Street movement. So here we go.

A new phone application, produced by an Oak Park-based company, will assist protesters participating in the Occupy Wall Street movement.

“Occupy USA,” a free service, was launched Wednesday, said Jim Brady, a spokesman for Earthcomber LLC in Oak Park. The application helps protestors across the country find food, banks, criminal attorneys, parks, bathroom supplies and other things on a protester’s short list of necessities.

Any phone that gets Internet service can access it, Brady said. To access the application, visit www.bit.ly/OccupyUSA.
